Hello all! We are happy to report that all is well at the end if day 1! Many awkward stories and circumstances we are safely in our hostel winding down for bed.
First and for most, all of you that were even slightly worried about us, should not be. People here are so nice and helpful. First thing this morning a postman gave us the most long winded directions to our hostel that I eventually stopped listening and even though nat thought she knew where we were we ended up searching for a couple of hours before we realized how small Dublin is and how close our hostel was to everything! Oh well, it wad a fun walk.
Secondly, the shoes... What a nightmare! We spent about thirty minitesbstrapping them back on whe landing in Dublin then decided to not take them off EVER again! He he
After we checked bags in we quickly hit to touring... Started with St. Patrick's cathedral then the Walsh library which was just something we stumbled upon and turnedbout being the hidden gem of the day, because another really nice Irish man f
gave us a free lesson in Galec and song very kind parting words. We think he might be famous...
Then we hit up the Guiness brewery and indulged in our ONE complimentary beer which managed to make nat typsy... The few from the top of the beer house was truly unbelievable. Which you will have acess to shortly, when we get actual computer access.
Next we went on a breath taking tour of a very old jail and after this we quickly realized how exhausted we were and retired for a quick nap.
This evening we went to Temple Bar district, had a bite to eat and then walked the street for a bit. It wad interesting because many of the live bands were playing ameyican music. In one block we heard a little of James Blunt, Van Morrison and John Mellencamp. Sober kept walking till we found this small pub with a true Irish band playing on the second floor. It was an upbeat chill time and the lead singer walked us out at the end of the night.
All in all it was an exhusting yet amazing first day. Stay tuned for more from London...
Love and miss you all!
For the record, it is really difficult to type all thus on an iPhone... At 2 AM... Sorry for all the typos, I will proofread better next time.
